Highlights of the Paris Climate Agreement
There is a strong move in Australia to follow Trump's lead by pulling out of the PCA. No wonder the EU is pissed off beyond belief though as they will now need to replace the $100 billion per year "FLOOR" that the US was supposed to hand over to other countries.
Specialisation
• Developed countries must continue to ‘take the lead’ in the reduction of greenhouse gases
• Developing nations are encouraged to ‘enhance their efforts’ and move over time to cuts
Burden sharing
• Developed countries must provide financial resources to help developing countries
• Other countries are invited to provide support on a voluntary basis
Climate-related losses
• Vulnerable countries have won recognition of the need for ‘averting, minimising and addressing’ losses suffered due to climate change
Financing
• Rich countries must provide $US100bn from 2020, as a ‘floor’
• Amount to be updated by 2025
Emissions goals
• Aim for greenhouse gases emissions to peak ‘as soon as possible’
• From 2050: rapid reductions to achieve a balance between emissions from human activity and the amount that can be captured by ‘sinks’
Review mechanism
• A review every five years. First mandatory world review: 2025
• Each review will show an improvement compared with the previous period
China, Europe, Russia, India, Japan, Brazil, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, and Australia will now have to make up for the 18% financial difference thanks to Trump which means the $100 billion was going to cost the US more than the floor amount since we are larger and more prosperous. Really good move by Trump to pull out of this economic disaster of a treaty.

Sorry but Trump just shite all over Macron by pulling out of this Agreement and the French citizens are going to go nuts when the financial contribution comes due. We won't have that issue in the US thus we will have more jobs and economic power to build up our infrastructure.

You mean with his long handshakes? You guys are hilarious. Maybe macron should save his long handshakes for a really, really bad dude. He could really show 'em who's boss. Just hang on to that hand!

All I saw was a petty little mama's boy make a fool out of himself twice. Trump owns that sniveling little frog.
