We have an attorney in our neighborhood that refuses to pay his dues. He is 5 years behind now and actually sued the HOA for sending him to the collection agency. He is a complete fricking scumbag.
Moral of the story, if you don't like or don't want to pay HOA fees, don't buy a house in a neighborhood that has an active HOA. Its not that got damn difficult and you would think a lawyer could figure that out.
