I am 62 yeas old, while the school work may have been simple, my high school years were some of the most difficult years of my life, it was very hard to focus on school. Many people drop out of school to escape difficult home environments, not everyone with a GED as lazy or a screw up. My Dad had a GED and later became a engineer, a local dentist started out with a GED, and at least one NASA astronaut had a GED.
