Had a similar experience as the OP recently. I rarely go there now. Normally just for nostalgia when old friends come back in town or after a late night. It's poorly run and the waiters that used to hold the place together are no longer there.

Subpar experiences are common if you go at lunch or in the afternoon. But then again, it's on you if you're eating Pluckers when the sun is still up.

RIP onion rings.

Went for late night food recently and the wings were burnt. I sent them back saying they were burnt and the waiter said "oh sorry" and took them back to the kitchen where they obviously flash fried the same wings in hot grease COOKING THEM MORE. brought them back and I asked for the check.

There is a noticeable difference between the BWW in Gonzales and the BWW on Bluebonnet that accounts for the better service and experience.
