I just finished screening in my porch. I used 2x2 strips that I bought from Home Depot to frame the screen in.
It was a major pain in the arse stretching the screen perfectly and a very tedious task cutting all of the wood perfectly.
They make the prefabbed aluminum framing that is super simple and comes with a tool that you roll the screen in for an even stretch on the screen. I opted out of this option because I'm cheap but never again. The amount of time it took for me to build this from scratch was not worth the money I saved.
Pay someone to do it unless you have nothing to do on the weekends.
