Hillary was a very flawed and polarizing candidate. I wish the Dems had run someone better, but you are insane if you don't think some voters are just 100% against a woman president, regardless of party of competency
No doubt about that, and there was also no doubt an equal number of voters who voted for her simply b/c she IS a woman. So unless you are prepared to say that misandry cost Trump votes you can't claim misogyny cost Hillary any.
Same thing when Obama was the candidate, there were obviously people who said "nope, not voting for a negro" and they didn't care about any other point. That's obvious. But there were also plenty of people who only cared that he was a black guy. That was enough reason to vote for him.
Identity politics cuts both ways, and if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword. Hillary can STFU.

Neither is a logical comparison. Before Obama, we've always had white, male presidents. There has been a systemic marginalization of black folks and women for the majority of the history of our country. Not the same for white guys.
Look, if a normal, stats-quo Republican had been on the ticket, I likely would have voted for that person, or worst case, I'd have abstained for voting. I voted for HRC to vote against Trump, because he is so dangerous. I hate being a HRC defender, but she never said misogyny cost her the election, just that it was one of many factors (many self-inflicted), and she is right.
