My guess is quality loss. Much harder to send quality video across space than still images.

But just a guess.

That's like with the mars rover. I'm pretty sure it has no microphone to pic up sound. It's like you spent billions of dollars to send this massive car sized rover to mars. I just think it would be sweet to hear the wind or thunder from another planet.
