I believe repaying the debt starts with cutting non-essential functions. Arts? Sure cut it, but 1B is nothing. Do we really need all the equipment? Do we really need all the personnel? I read that even if we cut military spending by HALF, we are still the largest spenders? There you go folks, you want lower taxes? You want to pay debts? Cut the military.
