It's obviously a very, very old word that simply means you have an unfaithful wife. But I'm pretty sure that the porn genre is what most associate it with in the modern vernacular. It's pretty popular with a certain demographic. Honestly I'd never heard the term outside old movies and Shakespeare before it became a big thing in porn and cultural politics a few years ago.
