This does not equate to shallowness on the part of women. In fact it is easily suggestive that you are the shallow one. In fact in the context of how you presented this thought it pretty much definitely means that you are the shallow one.

But anyway, women and men are probably about equally shallow. It's kind of a hard thing to qualify though. Women probably tend to be more materialistic.
