Trump is the dude in the parking lot of the car dealership who is bragging about the deal he got while the salesman and the sales manager is in the back office dumbfounded by how incredibly stupid that idiot in the parking lot was for paying that much for a car....

Here is some advice for folks who do not negotiate for a living. If you walk away from a negotiation feeling like you won....you didn't. That is the secret that every con man in the world knows...selling confidence....make them think they are getting the upper hand and have bested you.....

Trump is no negotiator...if he was he wouldn't go about bragging about it....he would admire those he had negotiated with as being smarter than he and having bested him. It isn't a negotiation when you have all the leverage or you want something at any cost...that is all Trump has ever done...he had the leverage because he had the money and, most importantly, the backing of his daddy's track record until he established one of his own...that track record in the development / construction industry is worth more than all of the money in the world. The other thing is having an ego so large that you become enamored with a deal to the point that you will do anything to win...including over paying. I will bet that if Trump was at a DU banquet ALL of the pretty women would be at his table stroking the shotguns because they would know they had a live one...a person who would bid anything to keep someone else from winning and to keep the pretty girls stroking their ego....

Meanwhile the shrewd dude is the one buying the artwork for pennies on the dollar and pretending as if the dude buying all the overpriced guns is a genius....

We are going to get taken to the cleaners with Trump negotiating on our behalf. We are all going to be the dude driving off in a $80K pick-up that the next guy on the lot gets for $70K just because he ain't a negotiator....
