The attorneys have to get paid for their hours worked and pay their employees. What did you expect, they work for free?
A way around this is for all the people involved to do all the work themselves and represent themselves in the class action lawsuit.

Better way: the class action lawyers receive a percentage of the awards claimed. If you feel you were legitimately wronged, you claim your award and the lawyers get a cut which they rightfully earned. If you don't feel you were wronged you don't claim the award and the predatory lawyers don't profit from representing you without your consent.
