This is a really great movie, and as a NASA fan and someone who works closely with the ISS it was, to me, an incredible story and true to life in so many ways.
It is an inspirational movie and yes, you look at that and say, "were whites really that way?" Yes, they were. I distinctly remember the black and white entrances to the doctor's offices, the theaters and bathrooms. I remember well the black kid being stabbed by a racist, redneck, white trash girl on my school bus.
All that aside, there are a bunch of stories all meshed together very well in this movie. Should win some awards on merit, not on attitudes.
