Has anyone ever watched Shawshank Redemption? The warden used the inmates to do various jobs in the community but he was able bid/do the job cheaper than businesses in the community. It led to the warden getting kick backs so he wouldn't underbid the competition.

The concept of inmate labor is good and I think there is definitely a place for it, but I think it should be limited.

The true question in this scenario is should a private company gain wealth from the taxpayers for performing a service if inmate labor can save the taxpayers money?

Inmates that refuse to work or do poor work will get bread, water and vitamins.

Inmates that want to truly MAGA will get good food.
