Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary. Hill was also charged with robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
The video shows the victim, who police said has mental disabilities, was forced to drink toilet water, slashed, beaten and yelled at.

The victim, who is from northwest suburban Crystal Lake, was reported missing from nearby Streamwood by his parents on Monday. Police said they had not heard from him since Sunday, when they dropped him off at the McDonald's near Schaumburg and Barrington roads.
A manager told ABC7 Eyewitness News off-camera the young man often came to the restaurant to eat and would hang out until it was time for closing.
Chicago police said the victim encountered one of the suspects on Monday - apparently someone he'd met before - and he was driven into the city. They did not say which suspect that was.

The victim's parents told officers they had received text messages from people who claimed to be holding him captive. During their investigation, Streamwood investigators found the disturbing video on Facebook, which showed he had been verbally and physically abused.

That's some serious weight.
I was concerned that the charges were not going to be as serious as this listening to some of the statements from Chicago officials.
Good news for them is that if they go to trial they will probably stand in front of a Chicago jury.

Is this the first time the hate crime law was used to prosecute black on white crime? Just wondering. If there were ever a case for it, this would be it.

Can you imagine the rage going through the parents' minds?

quote:damn, going to be doing some time. Probably get a light sentence relative to the charges so not to piss off the blm people who will immediately begin saying that they got a stricter sentencing on account of their skin color and press coverage
