I like what I see scheme wise. I would love to see our personnel in this type of scheme, with a QB with Hill's skill set. Mix in some down hill rushing by Guice, and we are dangerous...

EDiTED: always a risk of posting prior to the end of the game.

I watched most of 1st half then turned it off. I liked there zone game. 16-14 when I left. Like I said, I like that scheme with our size and speed

You posters that hated the predictability of Miles offense would hate the spread. Spread teams run the same damn plays over and over.

I don't know Rickydaddy. Depends on the coach. There is way too many things you can do when you spread the field. You can show power spread. Empty back field. Mutl-motion. Quick pass game. Gives you the opportunity to get more guys involved. Mix in an intelligent play maker at QB, and you're rolling.

Mazzone are whatever A&M OC is was talking about a few, years back how they'd only bring 30 plays to a game because most of them have 2 or 3 options plus RPOs on them

Never understood how people who post on a football board don't see this shite.

All im saying is these hunh spread teams dont run a huge variety of plays. They cant. Thats what lets them run a hurry up no huddle.

TCU has a losing record this year. It doesn't seem to be doing much for them.

prepsportsallday is a super hard-core spread-vangelical. You are wasting words trying to convince him that style of offense has ANY flaws.

I think Oklahoma state throws a lot of stuff at you. The truth is, almost all teams have a set of 5-6 plays that they are going to run over and over. I watched the Pitt bowl game, and you saw a set of core plays. With that being said, you can make the argument that there is some degree of predictability in most systems.

True. But Saban/Kiffin have admitted learning their system from Cumbie/Herman

All systems have flaws. I'm a hard-core offensive-vangelical. I believe in a solid inside run game, while spreading the field. I think the gumps got it right.

I don't like throwing the ball all over the field on every down like Texas Tech.
