Mauck made plenty mistakes. We had the game one against UGA in 03 when he three an INT in the UGA side of the field with only a few minutes left. He came back and hit Green for a TD to win.
He also funbled the second play of the NCC on the OU goaline.
Flynn made many mistakes too. I remember 3 turnovers against Bama in 07.
Etling will be great next year. He was a welcomed improvement this year. I think we beat Wisky with him as a starter.

Don't forget Mauck throwing a pick six right off the bat in the '03 Ole Miss game.
This is not shite all over Mauck time, but to illustrate that Mauck/Flynn were not necessarily heads and shoulders over Etling.
It could be also said that Mauck/Flynn had much better OL and receivers as an advantage.
