SCS leaves then more open for direct confrontation with the United States. I don't think they want any part of directly firing on uS warships or vice versa.
They'll continue to push expansion in the SCS, but Lil Kim is going to be their punitive response to Trump rocking the globalism boat.

How would it be punitive? What exactly will NK do? Saber-rattling and then be assuaged with shipments of food and supplies? The NK situation is a catastrophe waiting to happen, as the flood of refugees that will occur if NK regime falls will make the Syrian situation look banal.
