People don't know what separation of church and state means. Individuals can express themselves and their religious beliefs. We have a right to do so protected by the Constitution.

Separation of church and state simply means the government cannot prevent religious entities from existing and they cannot prevent people from practicing their religion.

The Constitution officially reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

It has absolutely nothing to do with preventing a school teacher from hanging a Christian passage on her door.

Correct. It's so sad that we've twisted the understanding of the first amendment to "government and religion will never overlap even in the slightest way imaginable. Even something as trivial as a public school employee displaying a bible verse in her office."

Her displaying that bible verse is no different from her displaying pictures of her family, or a poster of the Eiffel tower. It's simply a reflection of who she is. No one should have a problem with that. That bible verse is not even controversial. It's just an explanation of why Christians celebrate Christmas. How petty do you have to be to get offended by that?
