Wrong. It's absolutely true they do this. You had a decent point in saying that extremism isn't a problem unique to the poors, but then you blew it by calling one of the primary recruitment strategies a myth.

Fair enough - they ALSO do this. But, the implication in the OP is that education is somehow a panacea against radicalism. It isn't. If anything terrorist organizations are over-educated (and, again, heavily in the West) at the middle manager and up level.
Yeah, they get a lot of rank and file cannon fodder through the poor families. I concede that. For purposes of this thread, though, that's irrelevant.
