You "assume" there was a search beyond Jimbo, Herman and O. There is zero evidence to support such a claim.

there most certainly is evidence the search went beyond those 2 candidates (fisher and herman).

1-LSU hired a search firm. there is much value in 3rd party as the agents talk more freely than directly with the "hirer".
2-LSU itself said they had vetted over a dozen prospective HC's. you may recall at one time that Fedora was strongly in the mix.

that's a lot more evidence than your narrative claiming Alleva only considered three guys. you have no evidence.

each HC's agent also has to go through his due diligence on behalf of his client. he gets paid for finding the best deal for his client; it's up to the client to say yes or not. that's why a 3rd party is so powerful in employee searches of this magnitude.

I find it impossible to believe that LSU only considered 2 guys plus O.

Alleva said he was "the search." There is no evidence to support your claim that a 3rd party firm was involved. There's also zero evidence to support the claim that Alleva seriously considered anyone other than Fisher, Herman, and Orgeron. For a hire of this magnitude, what Alleva did was a farce.
