There was a radio station in Phillie (not the once legendary WMMR) that ran a promotion called Fantasy Park. It was a fantasy 3 day concert in which the listeners could make up the line ups. Listeners voted for the best lineup. The station then played 1.5 hour blocks of music according to the lineup, 1.5 of Sabbath, 1.5 of Zep for example.
So, I bring this concept to you. Set your lineups. Mind the bands or artists you select are at their peak, the original Who for example, or the Roundabout era Yes. 10 bands a day. Number of up votes will determine the champ.
"Contest" ends Friday at midnight.
Here is a sample for day 1.
Hendrix Experience
Beatles
Doors
Grateful Dead
Black Sabbath
Yes
Humble Pie
Stevie Ray Vaughan
James Brown
Jerry Lee Lewis
Go!!
