This I agree with other than the big deal part. The let it go part is also correct.

It's a different world, but there are other times and places where this is appropriate, not while your teammates are on the field still competing.

If you can't understand this, let's take a really terrible hypothetical. Teammate breaks a neck and the entire stadium jubilance turns to OMG and you're over at the stands playing let's take a picture with teenage idiots. As a good person, as Leonard certainly is, don't you think this would never go away in his mind at the time his best friend/teammate had this happen?

There are valid reasons in this world to rise above the status quo. Now go ahead and tell me how out of touch I am.
