Somebody having an abortion has no affect on my life and I don't really give a frick.

That a very weak line of argument. One could say the same thing about a neighbor who cooks crack and seels it to grade school kids, or beats his children. "Doesn't affect me, and I really don't give a frick".

p.s. This does not compare actions, just points out the weakness of that line of argument.

It is going to be interesting watching the next four years. Evangelicals are hailing this as the second coming of Reagan and a return to alleged Christian values.

Trump got the evangelical vote by doing a couple photo ops with Dobson and saying things about conservative justices but I don't think he's ever been a social conservative.

I think in the long run the evangelical right loses sway because any Republican now knows that you don't have to do really cater to them and they'll still fall in lock step and vote for the GOP.

A strong GOP is good for this country and the evangelicals have bogged it down too long. Hopefully a better GOP is worth four years of Trump in the WH.
