Yeah, I've noticed that many MLM distributors will shame and/or strong-arm their recruits from the get go...I don't know if it's either a cheap motivational tactic, or just desperation on the distributors' part, knowing they're already in too deep themselves.

Now wait a minute, isn't Mary Kay just a clone of Avon? If it is the I know it's not your typical MSM (I'm assuming we're talking specifically about pyramid schemes).
My grandmother worked for Avon her entire life and would never try and recruit people. Hell, another rep in the area would take away from her sales.
