re: RottenTomatoes Watch: Hacksaw Ridge...Currently at 92%

Just got out and man, what a return for Mel. He hit this one out of the park. Say what you want about him, but the man can tell a story.


I've always hated on Garfield and was definitely worried about the accent going in, but it didn't bother me near as much as I thought it would and he did an incredible job of disappearing into the character. Pretty damn good performance, I thought.

Also, the battle scenes were top notch. You didn't want to miss even a split second of them.

Yeah, it could get a tad corny at a select few points throughout the film, which was likely unavoidable just based on the subject matter, but those points were very few.

9/10 for me. Encourage everyone to check it out.
