And in your same hypothetical world what if Alleva came out with a more aggressive public stance from the onset and areas around Gainesville got absolutely slammed(which areas within an hour or so drive DID) . In this day of everyone getting offended he gets crucified. He's come out and firmly stated we did desperately want to play and tried to make it happen. If the sec won't back him up what can he do??

A more aggressive stance would have been demanding a contingency plan to play the game either in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday, a neutral location, or Baton Rouge, only if it couldn't get played in Gainesville (which we now know it could have been.) You work parrallel paths.

Just not that hard and I can't understand why it's such a tough concept for the "he did everything he could do" camp. No he didn't.

Had they refused this approach on Tuesday you then go to the media and expose them for not cooperating.
