The platform has a great reputation. However, that is tempered with the fact that it will not feed every single .22LR reliably. And it will vary from rifle to rifle. Some simply won't accept bulk ammo. Almost all of them will handle CCI. Some will prefer Federal to CCI. And yet others are more forgiving.
You have to experiment with your own rifle to find that balance.
