was in a meeting and had a woman called me out for casually using the term "a boat load" to refer to an excessive quantity of something.
She said that phrase was referencing slave ships and it was inappropriate.
I always assumed it was actual cargo ships it was referring to.
shite....people sometimes just want to be offended
