quote:Well I agree 100% but I'm trying to understand where south bama tiger is coming from. I watched a different team last year than what he describes. People take our RB's yardage stats and automatically give the OLine a pass which is silly. We run 90% of the time (exagg) and have the best RB ever to play at LSU (arguably) so of course our rushing stats are good.
This O-line is not that good. The can't pass block very well because I'm sure Ole Les still spends most of practice on running plays and they will likely look like they did against Wisconsin when they play SEC caliber defenses

Well he really has no argument. Last years line was serviceable but hardly dominant and got pushed around for a month. They couldn't pass block either and this years line appears to be worse.

LSU's O- Line isn't the only one struggling. Bama may have scored points, but their line isn't opening up any holes for the RB's after 2 games. Still not settled on either guard spot. It well could bite them in the SEC schedule if they contain the passing game.
Three players — Lester Cotton, Ross Pierschbacher and Alphonse Taylor — are being considered for the two guard spots.
"But we have not decided who we are starting at those positions yet," Saban said.
The experimentation with the lineup comes after Alabama has struggled to impose its will with its running game. Excluding Damien Harris' two runs totaling 119 yards in the demolition of USC during the season opener, the Crimson Tide is producing only 3.01 yards per rushing attempt this season.
