This happened in Bossier Parish. Cops pulled draw on me many, many years ago. I was driving the car of the business owner, who had left it at the office while he was with one of the business managers. He called me and said he had some documents in his car that he needed and to just drive his car over and get the keys from his assistant, who had a spare set.
On the way, I get pulled for illegal lane change (whatever bullshite that meant). Cop asked for license and registration. When I opened the glove box to retrieve the registration, out pops the owner's .38 handgun.
Cop started screaming at me to put my hands on my head. I did. He opened door, with gun drawn on me pulled me out and to the ground. Second cop shows up immediately and tells me not to move.
First cop retrieved the gun, with the license in the glove box, then they put me in the back seat of their car and proceeded to verify gun to license and contact the owner to validate my story.
They apologized for the incident, but frankly I didn't blame them because the gun just popped out right next to my hand. I'm lucky the cops didn't overreact and just start blazing away.
