Thats by design to shorten the game and keep the ball out of the opponent's hands for as long as possible.
It also allows you defense to rest even if you go 3 and out.

Holy shite.... The last couple years Harris has looked so confused at the LOS that its comical... I understand that they may WANT to do it on purpose... but I don't se this as the case with LSU the last couple years...its called having confidence in the QB...
