Hackberry and box elder guess, more likely associates. If the first tree is a water oak,there may be old acorns on the ground. Water oaks can have lots of leaf variance. Both trees have poor vigor. Hammer is right, a distant pic of a trees branching and of its silhouette helps in identifying, especially in the winter.
