re: RAV4, CRV, or ??? Also New or Used?

I'm seeing a few plus comments for Subaru and Mazda. Nothing on Nissan, mixed positives (mostly) for RAV and CRV. And as expected not much for Hyundai/Kia, although they are ok enough. Mitsubishi pluses a surprise. As I said on OP, no American makes will be considered. So, we're going to look first at the (admittedly less than exciting) RAVs and/or CRVs. If not impressed in person then immediate addition of Mazda, Nissan and/or Subaru into the search mix.
