Specs may not matter in the scheme of things but keeping up with your competition does, and the wii u proved that Mario and Zelda simply aren't enough to move consoles.
It's frustrating to see them give the same arrogant spiel over and over.
Nintendo has more than its fair share of shovelware shite. There are plenty of great titles on PS4 and the One.

Nintendo's strength is in its creativity, unique innovation, affordability and their own franchises. Why do we want them to abandon that vision, create something technically indistinguishable from the other two and compete in someone else's game? You want Nintendo to be just the third console instead of being Nintendo

If they want to just rely on their support and no 3rd party then they better have a good price point. The Wii was so cheap that everyone could pick one up. $200 is much easier to handle for a Nintendo only machine than $400 is.
