No, they were not, and I didn't mean to imply that they were. The point is that future major lies are going to force people to question your previous statements, and rightfully so.

When that book came out and some people that were more in the know started questioning the accuracy/truthfulness of much of it, I read where those two stories were in the copy initially sent to the editors. You would think they would have a huge hard on thinking of the potential sales but apparently it was a little too sensational for "non-fiction," and they told Kyle to offer up some sort of proof or anyone who could corroborate, and of course he could not, so they edited them out. The Ventura tale remained only because they made him remove Ventura's name from the story.
