total idiot but I love his commentary when he still can't get the call right after 5 slo-mo replays. He's like a one man comic routine.

"Uh, Verne...he looks out of bounds to me" (replay is on continuous loop to the audience of showing clearly in bounds.)

"I think Bama gets the ball back."

(Ruled in bounds)

"Wow, wow...that surprises me Verne, don't know what they were seeing."

Verne: "Maybe the replay."
