My office is predominantly male, but looking at non-soccer fans. A lot of them are not even sports fans either so haven't seen him for the last 15 years but the Women's team has been on Magazine covers at every check out counter grocery store and most morning talk shows including Oprah.
The Women's team is marketed as sex appeal to men.(even non-sports fans)
Their marketed to Women as empowering.
It is easy to see how more people outside of sports know who the women are versus Landycakes.

That's my point. Probably why Morgan is rated so high last couple years in marketing power
