Do you remember the cable boxes where you had to get up and manually click the individual channel??

I remember having to go rent a cable box from the movie rental joint in order to buy the Tyson fights.

I never saw cable boxes for rent. But I do remember when Video stores first came out the first thing you'd do when you walked in the door was make sure they still had VCR's available for rent before you went and picked out your movies.

I also remember they had a separate room marked "Adults Only" where they kept the X-Rated stuff.

I remember as a kid when there was no cable, and Ali's fights (and Evil Knevil's jumps) were on ABC, in primetime.

My first TV was an adult was Curtis Mathes console, no remotes and 4 channels. We still didn't have Cable to that part of the Parish when I left in 1994
