Season One only has 5 episodes so that is probably the weakest season by default. However, Season Two has solid episodes such as the classic "The Chinese Restaurant" as well as "The Jacket." Another one of my favorite episodes from that season is "The Busboy."

Season Three has "The Library" (Mr. Bookman!) and "The Parking Garage." You also have "The Pez Dispenser" as well as the classic two-part episode, "The Boyfriend" which mocks the conspiracy theories surrounding the JFK assassination ("A second spitter!").

Having some solid episodes(most of those you listed are lackluster in comparison to later Seinfeld) is hardly a rousing endorsement for those seasons' greatness.

Season Four is widely regarded as among the greatest single seasons for a TV show in the history of television.

And that's when the series gets great.

You didn't say those seasons weren't great, you said they were weak. Season Two is only 12 episodes long and yet it contains:

The Jacket
The Phone Message
The Revenge
The Heart Attack
The Chinese Restaurant
The Busboy

Those are six very strong episodes. Six out of twelve. That's not a weak season by any stretch of the imagination.

Season Three had some really strong episodes, too:

The Library
The Parking Garage
The Tape
The Nose Job
The Pez Dispenser
The Fix-Up
The Boyfriend/The New Friend
The Limo
The Parking Space
The Keys

That's 10 very solid episodes off the top of my head out of the 23 episodes of Season Three.

Once again....not weak.
