I think so. Co-main event for the 4th largest UFC PPV to that point - Superbowl weekend, WW champion GSP vs LW champion BJ Penn. He absolutely destroyed a very good fighter (left him unconscious on the mat to finish the round) and was rewarded with a title fight.
I remember that trip and the follow up shot vividly. It was beautiful.
