I agree. Very similar experience with wine although I've learned to dial it back a bit and save the good stuff for truly special occasions. The best part is "the good stuff" is relative to each individual person. For some friends, it's a $20 bottle. For me, it's $50 to $100 a bottle. For some coworkers it's $200 to $300 a bottle.
