Jesus you guys whine about speeding tickets more than any group of people I've ever seen. Stop speeding or stop whining.

FWIW, I consider it a surtax on the way I choose to drive and count on getting a couple a year. I guess it depends upon your insurer and how accurately these things get reported to your DMV (my license is Washington State, though I haven't set foot there in 7 years) but the impact is negligible. As in, I haven't noticed any change or seen speeding tickets cited as considerations in my premium.

DUIs, at-fault accidents, or reckless driving matter. Speeding tickets, not so much.

You want to go 100mph on an empty highway? Have at it.
The problem is that most speeders weave in and out of traffic to keep their speed and put everyone on the road in danger.
