Ohhh you were being serious, hate to break the bad news to you sport but every single yard in the state has contained a snake at some point. Unless you build a high concrete wall with zero cracks or crevices you will get a snake in it from time to time.

If you are bound and determined to be serpent free a continuous pouring of mothballs in your yard would work, however neither your neighbors nor your grass will appreciate the extra effort you go through.

PS: While king-snakes would work short term they would leave the area in short order after exhausting the food source.

And, I am pretty sure it has little effect on moccasins
