Ray Meyer

Meyer won one when he had George Mikan. Back in the day, the best teams went to the NIT.

He was a good coach.
I had season tickets when they were a final four team. Their small forward was injured when a team mate fell on him with 2 seconds to go and the game already in hand when they were beating UCLA for the 2nd time that season. They did not have anyone to deal with Larry Bird. Bird would have been chasing the small forward.
It made me wonder about the karma of being so close and not getting to give it your best shot, because a guy was injured with two seconds to go.

DePaul played all the east coast Catholic schools, ND and Marquette.
Meyer held his own.
