The old model Colorado was very sturdy, but kind of plain for American tastes. If I remember, you could get them with the 5.3L V8 which is pretty awesome in a truck that size.

You are going to want the crew cab if you ever put an adult in the back seat. Extended cab on these trucks are tiny.
