But when you factor in the home team and all the other intangibles and the way the media loves Alabama, they will more than likely be favored by 1 to 3 points or it could be a "pick em"

why do people think the media sets the lines???

bama will be favored, or is favored because people in vegas think they will win, or did when they opened up the line. watch which way it moves, if it moves more in bamas favor, lots of money being put on them, which means people that bet think bama will win, if it moves towards us, the opposite.

I think it will open at Bama -5, and probably move down to -2.5 by gametime

I've got lots of bad habits but gambling is not among them..I'm a businessman. Gambling is a business. My understanding is there is a cut taken out of each bet. If true, the only way the house or bookie loses is if the book is out of balance? The line is adjusted to balance the bets on each side...f**k football, if the book is balanced those people make their money...am I missing something? The line has only a casual relationship, if any, to the game. Please correct me if I'm wrong...by the way, graduate of LSU college of business, class of '71, but this is just good old common sense...
Geaux Tigers, spank that Bama arse.

Do you have any idea how much money would have to move to LSU for the line to move like that???

The line was projected at -7.5 lat week and not much has happened to change that.
