I thought the addition of coach Tony Ball would wake the WRs up and improve their techniques in blocking and attacking the ball (to catch those 50/50 passes great WRs catch).
I've rewatched the EMU game and I've watched the Bama/UGA OleMiss/UF Ark/UT aTm/MissSt games.
Their WRs are fully engaged in the downfield blocking, very physical. And they leap, dive and fight for the ball/catch.
Our big 2 WRs soft hand block the DBs or often they don't even engage the block just standing in front of them making the DB have to run around them. Then they just look at the DBs make the tackles. No emotions, no effort. The announcers frequently called them out on not attacking the ball being a 6'2/3/4" WR against a 5'11" DB.
Maybe Les will back up his words and send out a new trifecta of wideouts this weekend.
Maybe.
