I'd suggest trying smolov
Or alternating between front squats/zercher/overhead squats or other variations for secondary lifts.
Maybe even add some box jumps and other plyometric ; if you do this perform the jumps first as plyos are more neurologically demanding than squats.

I've read-up on smolov, and it states it should only be done by people with like 350+ squats. It talks about how individuals with squats below that simply can't handle it.
I'm gonna try the box squats. I think it's a mental/comfort thing like people are saying. My deadlift is pretty respectable and much higher than my squat.
