Rita. The forgotten storm.

A bunch of people that were able to fend for themselves despite losing everything.

But they weren't "important" people, so like the Katrina victims in the land mass (Mississippi) they weren't talked about or recognized by the media.

Out of the 7800 homes that were flooded in Rita, 6400 were in Vermilion Parish alone and it didn't make a news channel. But the Cajun people picked up their boot straps and went on. I pray for the people in SC to have that same spirit, the spirit that built this great nation.
